Because death metal growling “these are not the droids you’re looking for” and “tell your droids to go wait outside” are just about the most awesomely geeky things I’ve ever heard in my life.
Metal? Check.
Star Wars? Check.
I’ve shared this before, but I can’t get over how awesome it is. If I could play the guitar, I would definitely play Star Wars metal CONSTANTLY. Maybe its a good thing I can’t play the guitar, for Kate’s sake and the kid’s.
And even better, they’ve done Empire and Jedi too!

Easily one of my favorite songs, that guitar riff is just awesome. One day, I’ll know how to play the guitar, and I’ll play this song all day.
This is going to be a new ongoing series, where I will list songs I would play all day if I could play the guitar. Updates will happen whenever I remember a song where I like the riff.
To start things off: Beat It, by Michael Jackson.
Anyway, you might be thinking “WTF IAN! Michael Jackson? Thats not very metal!” and you would be right. But that riff is awesome, just listen to it. If I could play the guitar, I would play that riff all day.
